D'Alembert System

D'Alembert System is the roulette strategy which works efficiently for the even money bets (for example red or black; odd or even). It is works on the ideas of Jean Le Rond d'Alembertrs, French mathematician. According to his theory there is the balance in the world, so if you have for instance red or black bet, each of them has about 50% probability to be. In that way if one time one of them dominates (let’s imagine red bets win one by one), in the nearest future the situation will change and the opposite outcome will win saving the balance.

In other words if you see many red wins, you should turn to bet on black, but you need to do it in a following way: every time you lose the game, you add one unit to the sum of your bet, but when you win, you remove the unit. It sounds good and works the same way when you have pure 50/50 result during some time. If you play 100 games betting every time either on black or red, the probability to see red is equal to 50%. Of course this rule works only when we speak about big numbers and you may not see the 50% results even after a hundred of games.

If you start gambling and bet 1$ on black and lose, the next you bet is $2 on black, if you win this time you come back to $1. This is the way to come to the minimum losses, but as any other strategy D'Alembert System doesn’t take into account that the roulette wheel has zero pocket (or even two if we speak about American game), it means in practice you don’t have pure 50/50 probability which can spoil your game.

Any system you follow playing roulette this is not a guarantee of your win, but it increases your chances and allow to decrease your loss, because you cover them by your winnings. In spite of it, it’s not a key to the great jackpots, but the way to make your play more organized.
